Guided by the dual concepts of “Contemporary” and “Civilization,” the residence interprets Louis Kahn’s philosophy of “Silence and Light” into a tranquil, ordered, and inclusive living experience. By merging two symmetrical units, the design creates a fluid spatial hierarchy that transitions from public to private. Blurring boundaries through flexible “X spaces,” it embraces the flow of the Huangpu River and the rhythm of urban life, balancing restraint, culture, and modern artistry.
