  • About the interior design firm
Sole owner of Douglas Design Studio, Jeffrey is an internationally award-winning interior designer. His work is informed by his passion for art, extensive travels and genuine delight in the perfect detailing. Notably, he has a special talent for combining antique pieces with modern furnishings in innovative ways. A recognized taste-maker, Douglas has created hundreds of environments for his clients and furnished them with his custom designs and furniture for over twenty years.

This renovation preserved the essence of a 1980s home with Art Deco touches while introducing strategic enhancements. A key addition was a breakfast area with a retractable skylight and patio doors, connecting the interior to an upper terrace and lower-level pool. The project's design language, inspired by the existing staircase's sweeping lines, embraces a curvilinear theme throughout. The renovation achieves a delicate balance between preserving the home's character and meeting the clients' desire for a refreshed and refreshing functional space.
