A core design principle for Unapologetic Foods’ restaurants is jugaad—a spirited, resourceful reuse of everyday materials inspired by India’s vibrant street culture. At Adda, tin pails become pendant lights above a zinc bar framed by rusted COR-TEN columns and antique mirrors. Cane-screened booths and hanging planters evoke a street-side canopy, while walls collaged with Indian newspapers blur indoor and outdoor. A zinc-wrapped open kitchen, vaulted oak-slatted ceilings, and rusted metal walls complete the raw, layered aesthetic, culminating in a moody, romantic private dining room.
