• About the interior design firm
  A Japanese interior designer based in Osaka who produces spatial design, furniture design, exterior design for restaurants, retail stores, offices, residences, exhibition halls, etc., as well as graphics and decorations related to those spaces. They are characterized by the use of materials that take advantage of the characteristics of the region, and many of the designs are simple and minimalistic, typical of Japan.

Mashiro, located near Kyoto's historic Chohoji temple, is a restaurant designed around the concept of "pure white." The entrance pathway features an interplay of light and shadow, with an arched corridor adorned with washi paper representing the six senses and a traditional tsukubai washbasin. The interior showcases a 10-meter solid wood counter and custom hexagonal tiles inspired by Rokkaku-do temple. Local craftsmanship is evident through Kurotani washi paper and Italian stucco finishes, while the contrast of black and white spaces creates an environment for mental renewal.
