  Since 2004, Manuel Cervantes Estudio has worked on four different continents, and on a large variety of typologies, from social housing scale, up to public transportation infrastructures, with emphasis on several residential, hospitality, retail and cultural projects. On October 25, 2023, Hurricane Otis struck Guerrero, Mexico, leaving thousands without homes or basic services. The project responds to this crisis with an architectural approach rooted in climate, community, and dignity. Prefabricated modular systems enable efficient, adaptable housing designed for thermal comfort through passive strategies. Each home, such as Julio Zamora’s, reflects its users’ individuality while fostering social cohesion and resilience within the community.
