  MR STUDIO Co., Ltd. is a Tokyo-based architectural firm established in 2017. The firm focuses on unveiling each project’s latent identity through concept-driven, innovative design across various typologies, including residential, office, hotel, and cultural facilities. By interpreting the site’s context with precision, MR STUDIO creates unique, place-specific architecture. Its holistic approach integrates signage, lighting, landscape, and product design, enriching spatial experiences.

INA HOUSE is a two-generation home in Ina City, Nagano, offering magnificent views of the Southern Alps. Built on a symbolic river terrace, it features a wedge-shaped plan that opens toward the mountains, seamlessly integrating seasonal changes into family life. A boundary wall with horizontal slit windows blurs the line between inside and outside. The entrance hall, with its double-height atrium, brings in abundant natural light. Traditional materials like tatami and shikkui plaster are reinterpreted in a modern style, creating a sophisticated blend of heritage and contemporary living.
