Nestled on a hillside above Schaffhausen’s historic old town, the distinctive residential building at Weinsteig seamlessly integrates into its surroundings filling the void of the previous building through a staggered cubic design. The building’s four levels follow the natural slope, creating dynamic spatial experiences, from a private courtyard to expansive garden terraces. A robust, rectangular concrete exterior contrasts with the softer, inviting interiors. The design respects the local context, with a restored dry stone wall marking the entry, blending surroundings with modern architecture
