  • About Firm
Mikyoung Kim is an award-winning international Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Studio in Boston, Massachusetts. As designers of restorative landscapes, we address some of the most pressing public health related issues through our research in human cognition. Our evidence-based design work engages communities and landscapes across the spectrum, bringing restoration and wonder to the everyday experience.

TMC Helix Park transforms 14.5 acres of downtown Houston into a revolutionary model of climate-resilient parks, marking the first phase of a 42-acre masterplan along Brays Bayou. This park reimagines urban infrastructure as a multi-functional landscape that integrates stormwater management and ecological restoration. The park addresses Houston's pressing climate challenges by creating a green sponge in the ground plane, elevating the site by five feet above the 500-year floodplain. 650 newly planted trees provide shade with cooling water features that address urban heat island effect.
