  MR STUDIO Co., Ltd. is a Tokyo-based architectural firm established in 2017. The firm focuses on unveiling each project’s latent identity through concept-driven, innovative design across various typologies, including residential, office, hotel, and cultural facilities. By interpreting the site’s context with precision, MR STUDIO creates unique, place-specific architecture. Its holistic approach integrates signage, lighting, landscape, and product design, enriching spatial experiences.

This new campus for an international school with a long history in Japan was developed in Yokohama, offering convenient access to Tokyo. The design embodies the school's philosophy and invites students from diverse backgrounds to experience Japan’s traditional culture. Inspired by the landscape of rice terraces, the building nurtures intellect and sensitivity while meeting Japan’s strict shadow regulations through its ascending, green-roofed terraces. A large skylight and central atrium create a bright, uplifting environment, with glass-walled classrooms encouraging exploration, communication.
