  • About Firm
The firm EMMANUELLE ANDREANI ARCHITECTES was founded in 1998 in Paris. Emmanuelle Andreani has developed fruitful collaborations at a very high level of skills, notably with Dominique PERRAULT and Paul CHEMETOV. The multidisciplinary approach of the firm, allows it to address architecture in a transversal manner, particularly through urban planning and landscaping.

«La Ferme aux Escaliers», or The Staircase Farm, is a traditional stone building located in Burgundy, France. The North facade of the building is listed as an Historical Monument and constitutes an important landmark in Aiserey.

The existing stone façade was restored and a whole new independent structure was introduced within. The new roof constructed, is a solarium glass roof where light enters and floods the central atrium. It is also in this atrium one sees the exposed wooden framework of the roof and the concrete staircase that connects the new suspended activities floating in this void.
