For Modern Working, located in Zaha Hadid’s Opus Tower in Business Bay, the client’s brief outlined coworking spaces combined with private offices, an art gallery and a coffee bar in the public area, and an amphitheater-style seating area for small events and meetings. Thus, one-third of the offices would be occupied by Modern Working’s HQ while the remaining space would serve as business center rentals with common areas to be accessible for all occupants. Overall, the office needed to be an open and visual space making use of fluid shapes contrasted by strong geometrical lines.
