• About the interior design firm
  DPWT Design Ltd aims to explore new possibilities in different design realm, including Architecture, Interior, and Product design and blending the different domains in a synchronizing state. Lead by Arthur Chan, the founding Design Director, it has been manifesting design realization in architecture and interior projects in a thoughtful process and balances the aesthetic and functional values. DPWT has office in Beijing and Hong Kong.

AKA PLAZA is close to the seashore in Tianjin and it adopts a thematic concept of ocean which employ waving curve in the overall design. In contrast to most of the shopping center which are indoor with a big atrium, numerous shops in this shopping center are outdoor. There is no clear demarcation of indoor and outdoor zone, instead, the design provides a continuous flow of shopping space from entrance up to 3F by staircase and escalators. A mix of different size of shops/restaurants are located either facing the internal outdoor atrium or towards the main street.
