  • About the interior design firm
Stylt was founded in 1991 by Erik Nissen Johansen, a Norwegian visionary and artist with a passion for cxreative concepts and engaging experiences. More than 30 years later, Stylt’s portfolio includes a wide range of award-winning projects within the international hospitality industry. Through storytelling, powerful and inspiring narratives are created, guiding design and architecture - stories that bring brands to life, generating a sense of place, great guest experiences and better business.

Interlaken, Switzerland, first captivated travelers in the 19th century with its majestic mountains. Today, it is a renowned vacation destination with year-round activities. Amidst a sea of hotels, a visionary group recognized a gap in Interlaken's hospitality market and let Swedish design agency Stylt transform an existing hotel into a vibrant hub that celebrates art, creativity, and adventures. Bikes and paddleboards await next to the lobby, while a farmer's market offers local delicacies. The restaurant reflects local and neighbouring cuisines, exuding rustic charm and open kitchen views.
