This project is located at the Qinhu Lake in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, with 400 square meters in total area. Taking advantage of local characteristics from the southern coastal areas and of the elegant aesthetics of Song Dynasty, the design team envisions to build a residence full of the above two characteristics. The design team make good use of checkerwork elements of Song culture to simplify and recombine them to apply on each and every corner of the space. In doing so, the cultural characteristics of the space develop to the fullest.
