The project is aimed at defining the relationship between nature
and architecture. In particular, the project addresses the question
of how to maintain the existing nature despite the sudden changes
as a result of a large-scale development project for the golfclub.
Solution was not to situate the architecture in the center of
the environment; rather, we yielded to the existing topography
and built the Clubhouse behind the existing hill to ensure that
the focus remains on nature. Moreover, the Clubhouse’s design
was inspired by an effort to restore the landscape and invoke
memories.
