  Oatson Design is an interior practice based in Shanghai, China. Oatson believes that an excellent design is timeless, private and bountiful. A successful design project is the result of mutual trust and communication between the designer and the client. Oatson also believes that design is the product of a balance between location, proportion, color, shape, texture and light. Attention to detail is the key to achieving outstanding space.

The big steps greet each on alternate floors, and the three-dimensional space of Chongqing gives people a new experience of different dimensions. The main wall is equipped with a large volume bookcase, completely rid of the traditional treatment. Highlighted by irregular arcs, the mountain contour line extends to the top to echo the theme of “hill of books”. The mirror at the top, like the boundless sky, is capable of stretching the span of the space infinitely. The tree on the stair bookshelf symbolizes good fortune and wealth.
