The owner’s brief was a modern home with a tatami room and a fireplace. Our answer is to develop a seamless sense of the space with scenes that rhythm the lifestyle of a well-travelled gentleman. A modular sofa offers freedom to sit on different sides to explore surrounding scenes: the digital gallery on the TV wall above the cozy fireplace or lush green views outside or the washitsu that is designed to incite inspiration and deep contemplation. The calming theme with “elegant serenity” and “exquisite simplicity” continues throughout stylishly reflecting the ease and the art of living.
