  M+R interior architecture is an internationally operating design agency, founded in 2000 by Hans Maréchal. Our agency focuses primarily on designing projects within the utility, leisure and retail sector. M+R “Interior architecture is about designing spaces that seamlessly meet the needs of the user. We think it is important that our architecture touches people and leaves an unforgettable impression. A well-designed space works naturally, is understandable and offers safety and comfort.

Following the theme of the terminal and regarding the lounges Malevich and Chagall designed by M+R, we were inspired by El Lissitzky for the lounge at the Airport. The geometric shapes in his paintings are reflected in the design of the interior. The imposing ceiling is a representation of direction and movement, inspired by the graphic art of El Lissitzky. By applying a large mirror wall at the end of the lounge, the movement become infinite. "Alles ist bien was good начинается et hat no finita" (All is well that begins well and has no end). M+R: 'An airport lounge is a large hotel lobby'.
