In Japan both old buildings standing vacant and the economic decline of local shopping arcades have become problems. We designed this hotel with the intent of solving both issues. The hotel revives the businesses around it by designing with an eye towards minimalism in order to encourage visitors to patronize local shops.We're bringing our vision to life in an existing vacant building.Shopping arcades were the main retail hub.However,due to recent redevelopment,malls have been drawing consumers away from arcades, causing these old fashioned shops to suffer.There are still charming stores left.
