The walls have incorporated traditional Chinese window gratings with hallowed lines and patterns; they have created various beautiful designs as if a painting in a frame. This project is based on the Chinese imagery of sunrise in the East and moonset in the west; it is inspired by the staggered layers of traditional architecture, combining classical Chinese window gratings and ink elements that deliver landscape imagery and an elegant atmosphere of the Eastern peacefulness. The conventional ink paintings are combined with modern design techniques to create a sense of understatement.
