The building is situated on a compact site and is carefully inserted and lifted above the existing NUH main buildings. This creates for a large naturally ventilated atrium which incorporated a child scale cityscape. The architectural intent is based on ' Managed Playscape' where the users 'playground' inspired by nature. Each unique playscape inspired by Rainforest, Savannah, Artic is manifested geographically up the lifted massing. The massing is in terms 'shifted' to create jengga like boxes, creating institial shaded sky gardens. The consultation room is inspired by child-centric play-pan.
