University Sports Centre (USC) adopts a compact planning high-density approach. Co-locating the multiple sports facilities above the swimming pool with student-centric spaces at every floor intensify students foot traffic from multiple routes acros campus, offering students an immersive, sport-based experience. Designed to stand out, the USC also had to negotiate terrain and matured trees. The portals are constructed using single-cast off-form concrete wall with rugged stained finish. Coupled with the towering curved screens, both scoop daylight and wind into the triple volume thoroughfare.
