Located in Shunde, Guangdong, the project will be a large-scale medical complex for all people and across the whole life cycle. Its completion will facilitate a shift from the traditional 'treatment-led' to 'health-led' approach. The design is inspired by the ancient Lingnan water township of Shunde, and uses interlocking landscape axes to open up the space to create a healing garden hospital that is symbiotic with nature. It is also an 'urban health living room' that fully integrates green and energy-saving technologies. Winner of the International Competition.
